What are the basic requirements of the DSCSA?

The DSCSA has three basic requirements: 

  1. Verification of authorized trading partners to ensure they are properly licensed to sell and/or trade pharmaceutical drugs.  
  2. Capture and retention of transaction data exchanged between verified trading partners.  
  3. Quality inspection and reporting processes implemented inspect, investigate, and quarantine suspect product; then communicate it throughout the supply chain.
